Sea of Thieves is a multiplayer, open world pirate fantasy game made by Rare. I joined Rare in 2021 as an engineering intern on the gameplay team during my university placement year. After graduating in 2023 I returned to Rare as a Gameplay Engineer. My current focus is on game health - performance, exploits and bugs.

My role

On the gameplay team I worked on Seasons 5, 8 and 11, and was responsible for implementing features like sleeping, portable stools, the War Map, and diving to World Events on demand. In early 2024 I worked on bringing Sea of Thieves to PS5. I am currently working on the game health team, working on fixing game-breaking bugs, patching exploits and improving performance.
